SEO Case Study – Essex Smile Centre

Cosmetic dentists, Essex Smile Centre, approached us to help them expand their client base.
The client was keen for their website to feature more prominently within organic search, and were looking to increase their number of enquiries. They also wanted to create a larger brand presence online, emphasising some of their prestigious partnerships in the industry.
Strategy
We knew that SEO would be a key part of helping Essex Smile Centre increase their number of enquiries in a sustainable way, whilst restructuring and optimising their Google Ads account would provide almost instant results, in a more cost-effective manner than was currently in place.
Expecting to see an increase in leads from the site, and with multiple other online and offline marketing channels in action, we knew that call tracking would be vital for providing us with the data to inform our strategy going forwards.
Implementation
Our SEO strategy focused on creating user-led content in a question and answer format, for their main service pages; something that would help create more educated enquiries as well as work to improve our performance in the search engines. Implementing Schema mark-up code helped make our organic listings more enticing, improving click-through-rate. A content marketing strategy then helped us earn links and mentions from relevant and authoritative websites.
We also paid attention to user experience to make sure that we weren’t just driving new traffic, but converting it too. As well as making it easier for visitors to find the information they needed, we also improved various conversion points across the site to prompt more calls.
The results
Having previously not been visible at all in Google for some of their key terms, Essex Smile Centre are now pleased to be in position one for a vast range of competitive keywords, including “Invisalign braces Essex”, “Invisalign retainers Essex”, “Teeth whitening Essex” and “Dental implants Essex”.
We also achieved the following results for them:
- Website traffic doubled in the past year
- Phone calls increased by 201%
- Paid search traffic up 511%, whilst conversions from PPC have doubled
- We also attained a featured snippet for the keyword “Composite Bonding”, a term that reaches an average 5,400 searches per month
Essex Smile Centre are now one of the most successful dentists in Essex.
